Welcome to my official website! My name is Victoria Newsome. I’m a Sports Reporter/Digital Producer and fill-in Sports Anchor at WSPA 7 News.

I’m cover 55+ regional high school sports programs, DI and DII college athletics across the ACC (Clemson), SEC (South Carolina), Southern (Wofford & Furman), and Big South (SC Upstate & Presbyterian) conferences, and professional sports including the Atlanta Braves, Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Hornets, NASCAR, as well as local minor league teams (Hub City Spartanburgers & Greenville Drive).

I graduated with a Master of Science from Columbia Journalism School in May 2026, where I specialized in sports journalism and served as SPJ President.

I’m passionate about sports storytelling with a versatile background in news, politics, digital media, content creation, athletic operations, website programming, and sports management. I previously worked for CBS Sports Network, Columbia Athletics, NCAA Digital, Villanova Athletics, NBC10 Philadelphia, and CBS News Philadelphia.
